Ours is built around a single restored Rice horsebox, rebuilt by hand in reclaimed timber and steel, with running water, warm amber lighting and a proper back bar. Guests walk towards it. Photographers frame it. It turns the drinks into part of the event rather than something that happens in the corner.

Indoor and outdoor bar hire
Because the horsebox carries its own running water and lighting, outdoor bar hire is where it really comes into its own. Marquee lawns, festival fields, back gardens, farm courtyards and car parks all work, as long as the ground is reasonably firm and level. Inside, it suits barns, warehouses and large function rooms with vehicle access.
If you've been looking at portable bar hire or trying to rent a bar for a site with no facilities, this is the simpler answer: one self-contained unit, set up and pouring within around 90 minutes of arrival, and gone without a trace at the end of the night.
How mobile bar hire works
- 1. Enquire. Send the date, venue, guest count and rough vision. It takes a couple of minutes.
- 2. Quote. Within 24 hours you get a clear quote with the way of running the bar that suits your event.
- 3. Confirm. A deposit secures the date. We build the drinks menu with you and handle licensing for staffed hire.
- 4. Event day. We arrive, set up, style, serve, break down and collect.
How much does mobile bar hire cost?
There's no single price, because a two-hour drinks reception for 40 and a twelve-hour festival bar for 400 are very different jobs. The things that move the number are guest count, hours of service, who's paying for drinks, and travel beyond 30 miles of our base. On a guest-pay bar the hire itself can be low or even free; on a hosted bar you're paying for the drinks your guests get through.

Ways guests can pay on the night
Token Bar
Pre-buy tokens so guests drink on you; once they run out, guests pay by cash or card. Standard and premium tokens available, with better rates on larger orders. Works beautifully as a wedding favour.
Cash Bar
Guests pay by cash or card for each drink themselves — simple, with no upfront commitment from you.
Hosted Bar
Put a pre-agreed amount behind the bar — or pre-pay a tab — and guests drink on you until it's spent, then the bar automatically switches to cash/card. We'll help you size it to your guest count and drinks list.
Open Bar
Guests drink at no charge on a running tab. The pre-agreed amount is due seven days before the event and is non-refundable.

How we price bar hire
Free hire. On larger guest-pay events within 30 miles of base, there's often no hire fee at all — guests simply buy their drinks at the bar.
Minimum spend. No hire fee against an agreed bar takings threshold, set to your guest numbers. If takings fall short, you settle the difference.
Paid hire. A fixed hire fee matched to the length of service — usually with lower drink prices for your guests. Popular for smaller or corporate events.
You don't need to choose — we'll pick the right model for your event and explain it on your quote.
Every event is quoted individually for the 2026 season. Quotes exclude travel outside 30 miles of base. Plastics as standard; glassware available on request.

How much does mobile bar hire cost in the UK?
Cost depends on guest numbers, how long you need the bar (up to 4, 4–8 or 8–12 hours), and who's paying for drinks. On guest-pay bars the hire can be free, against a minimum spend or a small fixed fee; dry hire is quoted separately. We quote every event individually — send us your date, venue and guest count and you'll have a transparent quote within 24 hours.
How far in advance should we book a mobile bar?
As early as you have a date. Summer Saturdays and the weeks before Christmas go first, so many couples enquire well ahead of a wedding. It's still worth asking about a short-notice date — we reply within 24 hours either way.
What's the difference between dry hire and staffed bar hire?
Staffed hire means we bring the horsebox, the stock and our bartenders and run the bar for you. Dry hire means you hire the bar itself (and optionally our team) while supplying your own drinks — ideal for venues that require you to use their alcohol licence.
Do you bring your own alcohol licence?
Yes — for staffed hire we handle the licensing and will advise on anything your venue needs. For dry hire the drinks are yours, so licensing sits with you or your venue, and we'll walk you through what to ask for.
Can the mobile bar be set up outdoors?
Yes. The horsebox is self-sufficient, with its own running water and amber lighting, so gardens, fields, courtyards and marquee lawns all work. Firm, reasonably level ground is ideal.
How much space does the horsebox bar need?
Roughly 5m x 3m of reasonably level ground, plus access to tow it into position. Describe the spot when you enquire and we'll confirm it works.
How many bartenders will we have?
Two uniformed bartenders as standard, scaled up to suit your guest numbers so nobody spends the evening queuing.
How far do you travel?
We cover the whole UK. Travel within 30 miles of our base is included in every quote; beyond that we add a clear, agreed travel figure rather than a surprise surcharge.
